TFMC District VI Biennial Board Meeting

June 27, 2025

The meeting began at 2:04 PM on Zoom and was hosted by Janie Keys, President of District VI.

Attendees – Janie Keys, Angela Smith, Elisabeth Moreno, Judy Gorrell, John Isaacks, Sherri Stricker,

Sue Bachus and Johnana Clark.

Janie Keys welcomed everyone to the meeting.

The Minutes from June 23, 2023 were approved.

Business Meeting

Treasurer’s Report

John Isaacks reported that the first SSFCU 15-month CD matured in Spring of 2024. We rolled it into a second SSFCU 15-month CD which will mature in September of 2025. The combined dividends of both SSFCU CDs equals approximately $130.00. Next Spring, the CD at RBFCU will mature and members will need to decide if they should reinvest the dividends. At the previous Fall meeting, our members voted to use the SSFCU CD dividends (approximately $130) to help fund the District VI webpage and the remainder to be divided and paid for by our 8 Senior Clubs. The cost of the webpage is $224 per year. Judy suggested that when John invoices us for our annual dues, that he could put another line on the invoice for the webpage fee. Sherri suggested that John put a brief explanation of that fee on the email when he sends the invoices out. Judy said that she is not sure if the Gonzales Music Club is still in existence. She will call Vida Burnett and let John know what she finds out.

Election Report

Judy reported that she, Marcia Edwards and Sue Bachus helped to make our elections possible.

Many thanks to Sue Bachus who set up the Nomination Form and the Election Form for us on Google Forms. On May 3rd , Marcia and Judy sent out Nomination Forms to 179 members. Only 6 members responded. After Marcia and Judy sent out more emails and made more phone calls, the Election forms were finalized and sent out on May 23 rd , with a deadline of May 30 th to respond. We received a total of 22 votes and the nominees were elected unanimously.

New Business

Judy reported that San Antonio is hosting the Fall meeting and that they are going to use the Fellowship Hall at Lois’s church for the venue. The Etude Club, Arpeggio Festival Music Club and the Crownridge Music Club will be the hosts. The date still needs to be decided after checking on Angela’s and Sherri’s schedules.

Installation of Officers

Elisabeth Moreno, current President of Music Club Austin, presided over the installation.
